Instructions.Things You'll Need:
•Torx bit set
•Ratchet
Step 1
Locate the bolts holding the seat belt ends under the seat to the floor of your Jeep. If you still have a rear seat in the Jeep, fold it forward to get to the bolts. Remove the bolts with a T-45 Torx bit and a ratchet, then remove the seat belts and mounting bracket from the floor.
Step 2
Move to the shoulder belt on the right or left side of the Jeep. Three bolts secure the shoulder belts to the Jeep. Remove the anchor bolt that secures the belt to the lower wheel house of the Jeep, using a T-45 Torx bit and ratchet.
Step 3
Lift the plastic cover on the bracket covering the bolt at the turning point of the belt. The bolt is threaded into the sport bar. Remove it with a T-45 Torx bit and ratchet. Remove the turning loop bracket from the sport bar.
Step 4
Locate the bolt on the seat belt retractor near the base of the sport bar. Remove the bolt with a T-45 Torx bit and ratchet, then remove the retractor from the sport bar.
Step 5
Move to the opposite side of the Jeep, and repeat this process to remove the second seat belt assembly. Save the seat belts and hardware so you can reinstall the belts if you need to do so in the future
